Options for panel doors, also known as style and rail doors are identified by: the thickness, species, number of panels, layout of the panels and finally the shape of the door and panels. As an example... a 1 3/8" engineered fir 4 panel vertical panel, raised panel, arch top panel with raised moulding.
80" doors are by far the most reasonable in raw cost; however the design benefits of higher doors are predominant in this market. With 9’0” and higher ceilings, 7’0”, 7'6" and 8’0” doors are being built in our shop every day.
Interior panel doors can be made for paint grade in MDF, poplar, pine and hemlock, and for stain grade in pine, hemlock, fir, oak, maple, cherry, walnut and mahogany.
